This is a nice 1899 Crescent St. movement in a North American Watch Case Co. Bulldog safety railroad case. The case features a very strong solid pendant coupled with a double back with the outer back cover screwing off and the inner back cover that snaps off. The Bulldog name is associated with the pendant design. This same design was adopted for many military watches in WWII and later. The movement serial number is 19,117,845 dating the watch to approximately 1910 to 1912. It has two patent features that are associated with the 1908 model Ohlsen's "figure 8" regulator and Fitch's "One piece" winding click. I need to get a picture posted of the setting lever at the 11:00 position, which is the third key visible feature on the 1908 model. |
