Waltham had a very strong presence in England with their watch products. There were a number of Waltham depots around the country and there were also high production private labels produced for larger retailers. Farringdon is one of the names that appears in the records. I don't know what additional specifications, if any, relate to the "registered Farringdon K."

The watch is listed in the Waltham records as 1883 model, Home grade, Farringdon K made in January 1888.

This watch also has a very nice presentation engraving on the cuvette.

The case was likely made by the Dennison Watch Case Co. It is marked for Alfred Bedford and hallmarked Birmingham, 1887. If the watch has not been recased, it implies that Dennison made cases for stock for these Waltham movements. Bedford was Waltham's agent in the United Kingdom and could have ordered cases from Dennison with his mark for his forecasted production.
