Fitch's Patent Dustproof 8 size case This is not a particularly rare watch, but it represents an interesting phenomenon. The patent dustproof case was widely used for work environments and in particular on the railroads.
This is a nice little lady's 8 size in 18 karat with the patent mark.
This watch also has the nice moonlight type dial with a small dial in the center of a larger porcelain surround. These sometimes have very nice monograms and other decoration.
The movement is an ordinary gilt 11 jewel and is not shown.
