This watch is a scarce private label example made for Ketell & Briggs. It was produced between 1887 and 1891 in a run of 900 watches 3,291001 - 3,291900). The higher grade movements often have long periods between start of production and final shipment. This is compounded by the fact that there was recession during this period.
