The Model 1900 Riverside Maximus open faced movements are not quite as common as the hunting case variety with less than 2,900 produced. This example has the preferred script Waltham dial that is most desirable for the Maximus Grade. It is generally thought to be the dial that was on these watches when they were first sold.

The open face 18K case is particularly nice. It has a swivel pendent to allow the watch to be easily turned over when carried on a pin or chain. Even more interesting, the case has a hidden hinge on the back cover. The hidden hinge is scarce on high grade hunting case movements but this is the first example I have seen on an open face movement.
