This 1894 Riverside Maximus with a Roman numeral dial appears to have the original dial and presumably the purchaser preferred the roman dial. The movement like the other example has 21 jewels with 2 diamond end stones. The case on this example is a very high quality 14K Roy case with a hidden hinge on the back cover. The inscription for January 7th, 1905 helps to establish the date of sale. Unfortunately there are no detailed records for movements above serial number 7,555,000. For watches produced after 1900 only inscriptions and sales documents can establish the actual date the watch was sold.
