The First Moscow Clock Company has been the premier producer of fine Russian timepieces ever since the purchase of the Dueber Hampden works in the 1930's These deck watches are especially fine and are fully comparable to the Hamilton model 22 deck watch. With the gold finish they are perhaps even more attractive in appearance.

The casing does not match the American standards, but it is sound and sturdy. All the covers snap on with a snap on cuvette inside the snap on back. The back in this example is covered with the scratch resistant red coating that they were finished with at the factory. The box is also very interesting with construction very similar to the higher grade English deck watches but the workmanship is not up to the English standard.
