New Haven and the other Connecticut clock companies like to produce clocks in "series" with a theme that tied the various models together. This clock is from the Rascals series in the subcategory Minor Statesmen and finally the model name Mayor. It is delightful that they were able to cast aspersions on all mayors (or at least those receiving this clock as a "gift") with so few words.
