I particularly like this thirty hour Welch, Spring & Co. clock. It carries its age well and was overhauled for me about 20 years ago by Tom Vales.

I think I like the name, because when I first saw it on a clock I read it quickly and thought it was Welch Spring Co, which I presumed was a company that made springs. When I found out that Spring was a person's name, I was amused by my earlier error.

The label reads Welch, Spring & Co. while the movement has the more common name E. N. Welch.
