This is the Series 2, railroad grade. It is adjusted to 5 positions, temperature and isochronism. The very similar appearing watch without the markings for the extra adjustments is called a Series 9 in the Howard literature (1924 Catalog). The earlier 3/4 plate watch with the same adjustments is also called the Series 9 (1918 Catalog). This Series 2 also can be found with a safety barrel and as No. 2 in a 3/4 plate design.
