The 12 size and 10 size Keystone Howards are very well designed watches that appear in a number of very stylish cases. The 12 size watches were sold at essentially the same prices as the more popular (today) 16 size watches. These also appear with enlarged dial plates that make them appear to be 14 size or slightly larger. The 10 size are not widely collected, but they have many interesting technical features. The most interesting is that they have no feet on the bridges. the watch is built into the dial plate in a set of wells and the "top" pivots are held in straight flat bridges and cocks. This idea was first developed by Charles Vander Woerd for his Waltham Dustproof. |
