The only connection this watch has with the American Federal Period is the watch paper for a Boston jeweler that looks to be from about the 1812 or perhaps a little earlier period. The jeweler is Charles Bond of 37 Washington St. I have had some correspondence with the Bond family and they do not believe that Charles Bond was related to Wm C. Bond of chronometer fame.

The watch, with the more standard English "doctor's watch" dial, is a nice comparison to the Effingham Embree.

The case is hallmarked London, 1806 with the maker's mark J O individually punched.
