The grade 205 is the open face companion to the grade 201. These are the highest grade 0 size watches produced by Elgin and were made between 1898 and 1911. A total of 4,000 grade 205 watches were produced and 5,000 of grade 201.

It is possible that all of the last run of grade 201 were actually the 0 size Frances Rubie. The examples I have seen have all been "Opera" style with fancy cases expanded to 10 size. I have not seen any grade 205 watches in the Opera style case but at least one example exists in a lower grade open face.
