This movement has a lever escapement and was almost certainly made in the year 1820. It also has Prest's keyless work and as such would be the first keyless lever watch. However, it is very likely that the watch was originally a ruby cylinder and was subsequently converted to the lever escapement. It is still a nice example of the smallest form of Prest's keyless work produced by J. R. Arnold and Thomas Prest.
