This watch is marked "2nd Cl" for second class and therefore must represent a lower grade of watch. However, it is found with a Savage 2 Pin escapement, which is normally thought of as a high grade movement.

The jewelling is the same as is found on almost all the lower grades of Barraud production with 9 jewels including a jeweled escape wheel.

The serial number is 4379 close to the middle of the second series and the hallmark is for 1845.
