This verge watch movement is fairly late in the first series with a serial number of 7816. There is no way to date it other than from appearance.  It predates the 8816 watch with a Savage 2 pin escapement, and may have been the company's workhorse product at the time it was made. They were also making cylinders and duplexes during this period. The date should be close to 1812 judging from other watches with nearby numbers reported by Jagger.

It is in the collection mostly as another example of the first series to show the range of products being produced.
