Front, Dial, Back, Hallmark, Movement, Close-up of contrate wheel

This is a small verge watch produced by Thomas Earnshaw (the younger) ca 1832. There are very few recorded verges by either Earnshaw. In fact there are very few signed watches by Earnshaw of any kind. The father signed most of his work for customers rather than with his own name. By the time this watch was produced Earnshaw would have been producing levers and duplexes for common wear and chronometers for the highest grade. The verge may have been chosen because of the relatively small size of the watch.
