Johannsen 58 mm deck watch, 20 jewel lever escapement with sweep  center second, stem wind, nail set, open face serial number 7,463, ca. 1914. Center sunk porcelain dial signed A. Johannsen & Co. 149 Minories London 7,463. Sterling silver F. Thoms case h.m. 1914 with Admiralty broad arrow and number 19590G in 3 tier locking box with removable carrier and ivory roundel ontop with both numbers.

Johannsen was a top maker at the turn of the century and was one of the Scandinavian immigrant group that included Kullberg and Bonniksen all of whom were prominent in precision watch making.
