This watch is a two train independent seconds minute repeater. The movement has an overall satin finish and may have been refinished from a discolored or rusty state. The name Pateck is not related to Patek of Patek Phillipe but was a separate company from Hungary. I don't know if the dial is original to this watch or not, but the combination was very interesting. The watch was sold many years ago, but the pictures scanned well. It is fun to count the jewels in this movement. Both trains are fully jeweled with lots of cap jewels and the repeat train is jeweled to the hammers. I think there are around 45 functional jewels in the movement. |
