The Illinois grade 179 is the low production precursor to the Sangamo grade. This is a good example of the grade with the correct dial. The dial is distinctive with the long serif from the Old English letter "I" underneath the signature.
The case is a good gold filled case, but obviously a recase with extra screw marks and an extra lever slot.
