This 12 size Lord Elgin movement is interesting in that it is missing any grade markings. The plates show the adjustments and jewelling, but no grade identification.
When I found this watch in Fred's effects, the bow had come off
and was in a box of parts separated from the watch. I could not resist the opportunity to "complete" Fred's last repair and
re-attached the bow.
The note describing the watch as having been cleaned by Fred, is signed M.S. M.S. has not yet been identified. The note dates from 3 years after Fred's death.
