1. From Hamilton production records

This is a table of the watches produced for Fred McIntyre while he was a railroad inspector in South McAlester, Indian Territory. The examples in the collection can be seen by clicking on the serial number links. Fred was the inspector for the Rock Island Line and its predecessors in the area.

I would appreciate information on any other similar watches that you have or know of. Those sightings will be added to this table as reported. Perhaps enough of them will give some insight into how many watches were produced for Fred McIntyre.

Fred's name does not appear in the Hamilton records and the bulk of his watches are listed as purchased by Eisenstadt in St. Louis. Most likely Eisenstadt consolidated orders from multiple retailers. However, there are numerous instances of small purchases of one or two watches by Eisenstadt as well as lots of 10 or more.

It would be interesting to know more about the Hamilton jobbers and their role in the private labeling. Until a counter example is seen it is a reasonable possibility that all runs with a McIntyre in them were all for McIntyre.
