High Grade Watches

Smaller watch companies produced one or two excellent watches that in quality and design were competitive with the best examples produced by Waltham and Elgin. In some cases these were special examples from companies that were very successful in the Railroad Watch business. Railroad watches are not generally included in my collection since they were produced in numbers that make them readily available whenever they are needed for study or comparison. The smaller watches in 10 size and 12 size also fall into this high grade category, but they are catalogued as small watches in the Small Wonders group.
