The Waltham Model 1857

Although not a Waltham design and not produced in 1857, the watch known as the Waltham 1857 model was the first truly successful machine made watch design. The watches in this part of the exhibit trace its history and development from the Fall of 1857 to the Fall of 1876.

If you prefer, you can read the Model 57 Exhibit Catalog with links to the watches.
