Master tool drawings were made on linen with India ink. The drawings then served as blueprint masters for use in the shop. These drawings are from the Waltham Machine Works. The ink on linen technique was also used for larger assembly drawings as in this example. Each of the drawings can be clicked on for a larger view of the drawing. You can click on a non-drawing spot to enlarge the assembly.
