Elgin Grade 176 6 Size 17 Jewel

The Elgin Grade 176 is the highest grade of 6 Size movement produced by Elgin. The Grade 122 that preceded the grade 176 is not quite as high grade. The train wheels of the 176 are solid gold while the 122 are gold plated. The 176 has a patent regulator while the 122 has a simple regulator. The grade 168 is only slightly lower in quality than the other two high grade 6 size and with its patent regulator might be considered above the 122 although it only has 16 jewels..
