Elgin began the line of wonderful small watches with the Frances Rubie 10 size ladies watch. The model was made in a number of grades, but the finish and decoration on the Frances Rubie is very special. During the middle years Elgin made a series of 6 size watches with gold trains and special gold lettering on the nickel plates. Even the second level of these watches is very special. Elgin also produced very elegant 0 size and 12 size watches at the two ends of the small size range. The Elgin official entry in the prestige watch race was the C. H. Hulburd a 12 size watch with a very distinctive design.
