Grade 528

The grade 528 is not listed as an Illini in the major reference work by Ehrhardt and Meggers. The 528 was produced in one run of 700 watches and the Illinois records list it as "12 and 13 size." This example is a 13 size and in very similar to the grade 538 and grade 539 examples. The principle difference is the presence of gold train wheels. It is later in production than the grade 538 and 539 and may be the actual model on which the Hamilton 400 is based. |
